# Looking ahead

We're hard at work at putting together the proposed features for Nushell 1.0, which will help guide the work to get there. While there's still much work to do to achieve a 1.0 release, this proposal will let the community help refine and correct the direction. We're looking forward to kicking this off in the coming weeks.

Title: Nushell 0.27: Further Improvements, Internal Changes, and Documentation Updates
Summary
Nushell 0.27 brings a variety of improvements, including the ability to pass strings where column paths were expected, more file size types, reverse sorting in `sort-by`, multiple applications in `which`, cleaner output for `ps -l`, preventing duplicate column selection in `select`, fine-grained markdown output control with `to-md`, a `$nothing` variable for checking value existence, and broader string conversion with `str from`. Booleans now display as true/false. Internal changes include comment parsing improvements, renaming the `block` function, adding value helpers, parser cleanup, fixing the WASI build, and using big int for file sizes. Documentation received updates to the sample config and README. Breaking changes include boolean representation. The Nushell team is also planning features for Nushell 1.0.
