19th chunk of `ssh.man`

           used for host‐based authentication.

       /etc/ssh/ssh_known_hosts
Systemwide list of known host keys. This file should be pre‐
pared by the system administrator to contain the public host
keys of all machines in the organization. It should be world‐
readable. See sshd(8) for further details of the format of this
               file.

       /etc/ssh/sshrc
Commands in this file are executed by ssh when the user logs in,
just before the user’s shell (or command) is started. See the
sshd(8) manual page for more information.

EXIT STATUS
ssh exits with the exit status of the remote command or with 255 if an
       error occurred.

AUTHORS
OpenSSH is a derivative of the original and free ssh 1.2.12 release by
Tatu Ylonen. Aaron Campbell, Bob Beck, Markus Friedl, Niels Provos,
Theo de Raadt and Dug Song removed many bugs, re‐added newer features
and created OpenSSH. Markus Friedl contributed the support for SSH pro‐
       tocol versions 1.5 and 2.0.

Title: SSH Configuration Files, Exit Status, References, Standards, and Authors
Summary
This section details /etc/ssh/ssh_known_hosts (system-wide known host keys) and /etc/ssh/sshrc (commands executed on login). It specifies the ssh exit status and lists related utilities. It also references the relevant RFC standards for SSH protocols and cites the authors of OpenSSH and its original version.
