- Kubernauts celebrate the second anniversary of the Kubernetes 1.0 launch with [#k8sbday](https://twitter.com/search?q=k8sbday&src=typd) parties worldwide!



At the one year anniversary of the Kubernetes 1.0 launch, there were 130 Kubernetes-related Meetup groups. Today, there are more than [322 Meetup groups](http://www.meetup.com/topics/kubernetes/) with 104,195 members. Local Meetups around the world joined the [#k8sbday](https://twitter.com/search?q=k8sbday&src=typd) celebration! Take a look at some of the pictures from their celebrations. Summary

In July 2017, the Kubernetes community celebrated the second anniversary of the Kubernetes 1.0 launch with #k8sbday parties worldwide. The number of Kubernetes-related Meetup groups more than doubled since the first anniversary, growing from 130 to over 322, with a total of 104,195 members. The community also looked forward to CloudNativeCon + KubeCon in Austin, TX.
